Welcome to Locu Sala! A recreation complex circa 2006, created by a family with Latgalian roots. Formerly a family estate, over time, it expanded to a territory of over 100 hectares and 5 different guest houses.
We provide our guests with comfortable accommodation on the lake shore in modern private houses with all amenities, hiking trails, fishing, water activities, meal options from our chef, two types of saunas, outdoor hot tubs, and an animal farm to observe our friendly inhabitants.

TRY OUR 100% BIO LAMB MEAT
Throughout the existence of our farm, we have raised a wide variety of animals, including turkeys, ducks, geese, different breeds of chickens (both meat and laying hens), rabbits, guinea fowls, bulls, goats, and bees. However, the primary residents of our estate are sheep. We would be delighted to give you a tour of our farm, where you can observe the animals, feed them, and take pictures!
We source young lambs from eco-farms, specifically purebred Latvian black-headed lambs. This breed is both ancient and local to the region. Additionally, we purchase grains from a bio farm, which we then grind at our mill and mix with various other grains such as barley, oats, wheat, and peas to create a custom feed for our sheep. This feed is highly digestible, allowing the animals to grow well.
To ensure their well-being, we rotate their pastures every week, allowing the animals to live without stress. As a result, our lamb meat is exceptionally tender, clean, and flavourful. Come see for yourself; you can purchase lamb meat directly from our farm!

NATURAL HOME-MADE HONEY
Locu Sala is now home to six colonies of Italian bees. We harvest honey four times each season, with our first collection available as early as June! Initially, we started with 30 liters, but Locu Sala now produces between 120 and 150 liters of honey each year, depending on the weather.
We do it just for fun, but it also has additional benefits: the bees pollinate the trees and flowers in our area. We share some of the honey with our partners and friends.
Locu Sala produces 100% pure honey in the eco-friendly environment of our nature park. It has a delightful floral aroma, which comes from the nectar collected from a variety of plants, including thistle, maple, willow, raspberry, linden, and wildflowers unique to our region.
Our lovingly harvested honey, along with other farm products, is available for purchase when in stock. Enjoy honey for a healthier life!
